Minister Challenges Entrepreneurs
The Minister of Economic Development will launch the ‘Jim Anderton Challenge’ in Christchurch this Thursday.
As part of the eTime Entrepreneurs initiative sponsored by NZ Trade and Enterprise and the Cookie Munchers Charitable Trust, 36 Canterbury students, aged 8 – 12 years, have been learning about enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Over the past 9 weeks the students in teams, representing 12 schools, have participated in a series of business challenges developing each student’s entrepreneurial skills progressively within a competitive business environment.
You are invited this Thursday to eTime, starting at 4pm to the launch of the 'Jim Anderton Challenge', which is the major challenge that will involve each team creating a product, event, or service to raise funds for an “innovation and enterprise fund” for their school.
The young entrepreneurs raised $32, 000 in 3 weeks for charity in their last challenge. What will they achieve in this challenge?
