Unitec students set to start the year with a blast
“Unitec kicks off the year with a blast over the next two weeks. Woosh, Tui and Export Gold in association with the USU present ‘Welcome to the Real World’ Orientation 2005”, said the Unitec Student Union (USU) President Robert Freeth.
“The USU have never had a better line up and students will be face to face with some of New Zealand’s hottest bands at the Unitec stadium on the Friday 25th of February,” said Freeth.
“The main event features OPSHOP, THE WBC, ONE MILLION DOLLARS, LUCID 3 GRAMSCI, AUTOZAMM, RUNNINGHOUSE RUPTUS JACK AND DJ P.J. goes from 4pm to midnight ” said Freeth. Door sales are just $15 to the general public and $5 to members of the USU.
“It’s going to be carnage and whilst we are still awaiting our University status we’re certainly going to party like the Universities,” said Freeth
The Orientation period will last two weeks (21 Feb to 4 March) and feature everything from big concert events to cultural, publicity stunts and general mayhem.
