Waiariki Certificate Presentation Schedule
Hard work, determination and motivation are paying off for many Waiariki Institute of Technology students across the region. They are receiving their certificates for the programmes they have completed over the past year.
A list below includes a schedule of the programmes that are being presented their certificates.
All press are welcome to attend any of the ceremonies and talk to finishing students and their tutors.
Ceremonies are occurring in Rotorua, Tokoroa and Whakatane.
Many students will be continuing their studies at a higher level. Others will be heading into employment as a result of gaining their qualification.
Graduation for Diploma and Degree students will take place in March 2005 where there will be a ceremony at Tangatarua Marae at Mokoia Campus, Rotorua and also at the Rotorua Convention Centre.
Rotorua
Wednesday 1st Dec - Mechanical Engineering, B13 Fabrication Workshop, 4.00 – 5.00pm
Thursday 2nd December - All Tokoroa Courses, Dinos Café, 5.30pm.
Friday 3rd Dec – Business & Computing – National Cert in Business Administration and Computing L2 and 3, Certificate in Computing L3, Cert in Information & Communications Technology L4, Te Kura Matauranga Tu Tangata – CCSW, Te Kura Tu Ora- Certificate in Health Studies, Tangatarua Marae, Mokoia Campus 11.00am
Friday 3rd Dec - Tourism & Hospitality - Certificate in Travel and Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Tourist Guiding, Food and Beverage, Professional Catering Craft, Professional Cookery. Lecture Theatre behind C Block (afternoon tea in Kaiwhata) 2.30pm
Monday 6th Dec –Te Paakaro A Ihenga certificate ceremony: Certificate in Maori Studies, Certificate in Art, Certificate in Interior Design, Tangatarua Marae, Mokoia Campus Rotorua 10.00am
Tokoroa
Thursday 2nd December - All Tokoroa Courses including Certificate in Business Administration, Certificate in Hairdressing, National Certificate in Computing, This will also be attended by the Mayor. Dinos Café, 5.30pm Contact Maree Kendrick for more information on 07 885 0200
Whakatane
Friday 3 Dec - Whakatane Combined Prizegiving – National Cert in Business Administration and Computing L3, Cert in Information & Communications Technology L4, Horticulture, Cert in Tourism & Hospitality, Certificate in Horticulture, Introduction to Trades, Certificate in Work & Life Skills, two Trident courses Intro to Trades & Cert in Hospitality & Retail, Whakatane Campus, 10.00am

Friday 26th Nov - National Certificate for Entry to Automotive Trades & Automotive L4, B33/34 Automotive Workshop, 10.00 – 11.00am, Rotorua
Friday 26th Nov - Certificate in Horticulture L3, Kaiwhata Restaurant, 12.00pm, Rotorua
