Màori Tertiary Students Conference July 8-11 2004
Te Hui Tauira, the Màori tertiary student conference, held annually by the Aotearoa Tertiary Students Association (ATSA) and Te Roopu Tautoko is on this year from the 8th -11th of July 2004. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the venue had to be changed to the Bay of Plenty, with the Waiariki Institute of Technology Students Association playing host.
This hui continues to build on knowledge and experiences gained from past Te Hui Tauira with the general objective being to look at issues which affect retention and discussing solutions to these issues.
This hui is a very real approach to supporting tauira Màori. Te Hui Tauira is also about having fun, with its very own Hui Idol, and meeting other students from all over Aotearoa.
The hui is conducted in a relaxed and positive environment, practicing Màori concepts such as manaaki tangata, tautoko and awhina.
No reira, Nau mai, haere mai
