New Zealand Schools choose Golden Circle
More than 100 schools and groups throughout New Zealand have already booked to fundraise with the Golden Circle School Fun Run Program this year, with an estimated 280 schools and groups expected to participate before the end of the year.
Schools from Kaitaia to Invercargill have joined the program, which last year raised an average of just under $3,000 per participating school. The Golden Circle sponsorship provides schools throughout New Zealand, support in co-ordinating a fun run event, to raise funds for projects in their own school community.
Golden Circle New Zealand Manager, Mr Bryan Winter said the company was delighted to be sponsoring the program for the fourth consecutive year.
“Golden Circle is proud to support New Zealand schools in their fundraising efforts” Mr Winter said.
“Our sponsorship provides every student with a thank you gift for helping raise funds for their school and a refreshing icy fruit stick on completion of their Fun Run event. Importantly, the program promotes health and fitness for students, and everyone has a great time.”
Under the program, schools can hold any type of event, at any time of the year. Many schools choose to hold a fun run, cross country event, walkathon or obstacle course.
Project Manager Kylie Vaughton says, “This year many schools have again chosen to hold their Golden Circle Fun Run in conjunction with their annual Cross Country, whilst other schools are holding an event to coincide with their Gala Day or during the Olympic Games in August”.
Participating students obtain sponsorship for participation, and are offered a range of incentive prizes, according to how much money they raise.
Schools, kindergartens and preschools in your area are invited to register for this year’s program by telephoning the Golden Circle School Fun Run office on 0800 377 170 or check out the program on www.thefundraisinggroup.co.nz
