Jobs, training and free munchies at SKLZ 4 U youth event
SKLZ 4 U , a youth event offering information on training and employment will be held at the Wainoni/Aranui Family Centre, 31 Hampshire St on Monday 16 June, starting at 2pm.
Employment information will cover finding a job, obtaining a Workstart grant, bridging finance, work clothing, arranging a C.V and getting to job interviews.
Training opportunities range from 21 day Outward Bound courses to a Deep Sea Fishing course in Westport and sewing/carving courses in Aranui.
Free munchies will be available during the afternoon.
The training day is an initiative of Aranui Community Renewal - a partnership between the Aranui community, Christchurch City Council and Housing New Zealand Corporation . Several other agencies including Work and Income are working alongside the partnership.
