In this presentation Brent Wheeler will explain his latest thinking and research on contemporary valuation models for business to consumer and business-to-business high growth ventures.
This work is at the core of Brent's research and experimental work in e- commerce business models and methods of e-business valuation.
Brent Wheeler is a highly experienced investment-banking consultant with particular expertise in start-up and early stage valuations.
Brent specialises in: · Cash rather than accounting-based valuations · The EVA approach to valuation · Use of option-based valuation techniques
These techniques are applied to · Support equity raising endeavors · Support debt and debt placement strategies · Assess merger and acquisition activity · Place a value on intellectual property · Assess re-structuring activity
Brent's earlier career was as a senior analyst with the NZ Treasury followed by establishment of Wheeler Campbell (Brent Wheeler Limited since 1989), a boutique corporate finance consultancy. Previous work includes: · Chair NZ Rail Restructuring Committee · Chair Fisheries Legislation Review Committee · Negotiator Tainui Maori Trust Board Settlement · Member State-Owned enterprise Steering, N.Z. Treasury · Director Watercare Services Limited
Brent holds a Diploma of Arts, First Class Honours and a Ph.D in Economic Geography (Otago).
