Lights Go On For Maurice And National
Power Bill Paid? - Lights Go On For Maurice And National
“Tertiary Sector groups must be asking themselves what does it take to get effective comment from the National Party these days?” Aotearoa Tertiary Students Association President Keith Clark said while commenting on the Blackmail claims of Maurice Williamson today.
“With such paucity of comment from The National Party these days on issues effecting New Zealand Tertiary Students, today’s foray by National was seen as futile and embarrassing” said Clark “The lack of well reasoned comment recently from National added insult to injury when Williamson omitted to provide any insightful references to the effects on students” commented Clark.
“ATSA applaud the efforts of staff, students and this administration who have demonstrated a fiscally responsible approach to fee stabilisation. ATSA recognise that fees still remain a significant driver of the Student Loan Scheme; it will however, continue to take a multifaceted approach to keep it in check” stated Clark.
“The exponential cancer of the student loan debt creeping through New Zealand’s heart is not an advance as National would have you believe. It is a time bomb set to riddle and exterminate a family near you” said Clark.
