Ford And Variety Present New Sunshine Coach To Pakuranga Children's Health Camp School
Ford New Zealand, in association with Variety – the Children's Charity, presented a new Ford Econovan Sunshine Coach to the Pakuranga Children's Health Camp School following the annual 'Fitzy's Ford Classic Golf Day' at the Huapai Golf Club on Thursday.
The Ford Econovan, which is the 65th Sunshine Coach to be donated to a needy school or organization, was presented to the Regional Manager of the school, Mr. Brian Cunningham, by Sean Fitzpatrick and the Managing Director of Ford New Zealand, Nigel Harris.
Proceeds for the Ford Econovan were raised at the charity golf day, which has become an annual event at the Huapai Golf Course, north of Auckland.
"This event is an interactive way that money can be raised and contributed directly to a very worthwhile cause," said the Managing Director of Ford New Zealand, Nigel Harris.
"The fact that over $40,000 was raised indicates that businesses are enthused about being involved with the organisation, and believe in supporting what Variety is doing in the community."
The new Ford Econovan Variety Club Sunshine Coach will provide invaluable assistance for the school’s children.
“The Sunshine Coach will enable us to transport children around the school, and to activities further a field,” Brian Cunningham said.
“The generous donation of this vehicle has opened many doors for the children, and will be of enormous assistance in their development. ”
