Pacific Islands Students will receive a long overdue increase in support, by Tertiary Institutions, due to newly
released Government initiatives.
The new funding package is aimed at increasing the support by Tertiary Institutions, for Pacific Islands and Maori
students. Not only will Pacific Islands and Maori students benefit from this injection of funds, but also the Tertiary
Institutions themselves. The institutions that provide the better services will receive the greater numbers of Pacific
