We play classics that you would have to be a robot not to move to. A literal Boogie Wonderland! If you're sick of needing or feeling like you need a good reason to shake your thang, or perhaps you are worried your friends will judge your over enthusiastic extravagance; come on down to You Should Be Dancing and meet your newest friends on the dance floor in front of the biggest, crispiest, bassiest sound system in town. All kinds of nice people welcome. Dress up or down. Good times, great drinks, a grooving dance floor and glamorous tunes plus a few special surprises. What have you got to lose!
If you like...Earth, Wind & Fire, The Bee Gees, ABBA, Giorgio Moroder, Diana Ross, Cher, Boney M, 5th Dimension, Donna Summer, Kool and the Gang, Chic, Gloria Gaynor, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Trammps, Sylvester, O’ Jays, S.O.S. Band, The Brothers Johnson, Divine, The Village People, Sister Sledge, Cerrone, The Jackson 5, Shalamar, The Whispers, Womack & Womack, Midnight Star, The Commodores, Chaka Khan, First Choice, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Patrice Rushen, Silver Convention, Pointer Sisters, Patrick Cowley, Bobby Orlando, Evelyn Thomas, Gwen Guthrie, Luther Vandross, The Weather Girls, Shannon, Amanda Lear, etc.......Then you will love this night!
"You Should Be Dancing" has a love of all things musical and danceable. Conceived by a group of like minded individuals from Wellington we take great pleasure in getting together on our nights off, playing the best tunes, forgetting about work for a while and grooving the night away. We keep high standards when it comes to filling up our record bags then hitting the night club and so should you! Driven and founded by the ever present Bernard Gruschow aka DJ St Bernard we look forward to hosting our second tour of 2019 after a wildly successful first tour. We will be pulling out all the stops to keep the dancing going and the music fresh. Our previous events have been amazing. Why not come down and get into it so we can keep doing it with more and more outrageousness and extravagance!
