The ZM All Women Breakfast Show celebrating International Women’s Day and Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel
March 1, 2019 – ZM’s Breakfast host Megan Papas has announced that on Friday, March 8, in celebration of International Women’s Day, she and fellow ZM hosts Bree Tomasel and Bel Crawford will take over the ZM Breakfast show, normally hosted by Megan and her male counterparts, Fletch and Vaughan.
The show will be called ZM’s All Women Breakfast Show and will feature not only the station’s female talent, but also a range of special female guests. The show will also be entirely produced by the awesome women of ZM.
The inspiration behind this special show is the release of Marvel Studios’ ‘Captain Marvel’, in cinemas March 7. Starring Brie Larson, ‘Captain Marvel’ tells the story of how fighter pilot Carol Danvers becomes the Universe’s most powerful hero, and is the first female-led franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The All Women Breakfast Show will see Megan, Bree and Bel interview inspiring Kiwi females such as Hilary Barry and Black Fern Kendra Cocksedge, and all the music featured that morning will be by female artists. Fans of Marvel won’t want to miss this show; Joanna Hunkin, NZME’s Head of Entertainment, spoke with Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, in Singapore and the interview will be played for the first time that morning.
Megan Papas from ZM’s Breakfast says, “ZM has an incredible line-up of female presenters and producers and woman who work behind the scenes so it’s really empowering to take over the airwaves for a few hours on a special day that celebrates women!”
Listeners can look forward to hearing ZM’s All Women Breakfast show on Friday, March 8, on International Women’s Day.
