FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Monday 7 January 2019
Make a positive start to the New Year – Come and listen to Buddhist monk & International Teacher, Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, give a Public Talk on cultivating “Inner Peace”
Meditation and mindfulness are now widely accepted as mainstream practices which lead to genuine, long-lasting wellbeing. As we make our New Year's resolutions, this is the perfect time to listen to internationally renowned teacher, Gen-la Kelsang Jampa - a modern-Buddhist monk - teaching how we can all find inner peace today using these ancient practices.
Gen-la Jampa is an American monk currently based in the Grand Canyon area and is coming to Auckland as part of an Australasian tour. Aucklanders are extremely lucky to have the opportunity to hear him speak before he goes on to lead a four-day Modern Buddhist meditation festival in Wellington.
“So often people rely on external sources in order to be happy, with very limited success. But through relying on the meditation and positive thinking techniques presented in Modern Buddhism, we can cultivate a reliable source of happiness that comes from within our own mind. Through this we can free ourselves from negative emotions, making joy and happiness our everyday reality” says Gen-la Jampa.
This special event will be held on Tuesday 15th January 2019 at 7:30-9pm, in the Concert Chamber at the Auckland Town Hall in the Auckland CBD. Tickets are $30 and can be booked online at www.happinessfromwithin.org or through TicketMaster. Everyone is welcome to attend.
