A World First Car TV Show Created in New Zealand
Debuts in France
The world's first TV car show based on the internet phenomenon of 'cold starting', called START ME UP, has made its debut at the biggest television market in the industry, MIPCOM in Cannes, France.
The online craze of 'cold starting' attracts millions of viewers to short clips of cars that haven't run for years or more typically decades being 'cold started'.
START ME UP was created in New Zealand by SMU Media Ltd and is represented globally by Flame Distribution.
The series is presented by MIke 'MOD' O'Donnell, car aficionado and former CEO of one of NZ's largest companies, Trade Me; and Martin Lafferty, an engineer and mechanical guru.
In New Zealand START ME UP is currently rolling out on TVNZ On Demand to be followed by a release on TVNZ Duke in the new year.
