Bowl out a BLACKCAP: Christchurch heats up for Test Match against England
26 March 2018
Christchurch cricket fans can Bowl out a BLACKCAP and score themselves some free tickets and cool prizes ahead of this month’s BLACKCAPS v England test match at Hagley Oval.
The popular Bowl out a BLACKCAP event will be hosted at the Christ College Cricket grounds in Hagley Park on Tuesday March 27 from 3 – 4pm.
Linda Falwasser, General Manager of Attraction for ChristchurchNZ says the test match is a great opportunity for our community and visitors to be part of one of the most exciting international cricket events of the summer.
“Blackcaps fever is heating up again ahead of the upcoming test match against England and these fun activities ensure everyone can be part of the excitement,” Ms Falwasser says.
“We’re encouraging people to grab the family and head down to the Christ College Cricket grounds for your chance to Bowl out a BLACKCAP or win yourselves some great prizes or tickets to the Test.”
The second Test against England is running from March 30 - 3 April at Hagley Oval with tickets available from Ticketek.
Ms Falwasser says Christchurch’s strong cricket connection and extraordinary venue at Hagley Oval makes our city the perfect place to host international cricket games.
“We’re excited to welcome the BLACKCAPS and England back to Christchurch and encourage the whole community to get involved, check out the games and enjoy the experience.”
