In support of Sustainable Coastlines
The Dr Rudi’s lads are on a mission – to bring Auckland the very first, Bluff oysters of the season.
On Thursday 1 March the team will be flying and road tripping their way to Bluff to personally escort 100 dozen of the
first catch of Bluff oysters from one end of the country to the other.
Not known for doing things by halves, this is not your “normal” Bluff oyster event! There will no $200 set menus or
glasses of champagne. In the name of efficiency (of course!) the Dr Rudi’s Rooftop Brewing Co. team are literally taking
it upon themselves to hand deliver the first Bluff oysters of the season to Auckland with a good old-school roadie. Once
home, there will be a live shucking on the Dr Rudi’s deck, from 3pm, Friday 2 March. And, as if getting some of the
first Bluffies into Auckland isn’t enough, they’ve decided to part with them by way of a gold coin donation – with all
proceeds going to Sustainable Coastlines, a charitable organisation doing great things in keeping our NZ beaches and
waterways clean.
