New Zealand's best Electronic Music act coming to Hamilton

New Zealand's best Electronic Music act is coming to Hamilton.
Fresh from winning a Tui Award for 'Best Electronic Music Artist' at the 2017 New Zealand Music Awards, kiwi dubstep duo TRUTH are coming to Hamilton, Friday February 16th at Static on Hood St.
Local dance music radio station, Noize Radio, is hosting the pair in association with The Drum & Bass Massive and Bass Fusion. Local favourite DJ's will be in support and include Freecell, Adjust, Harlan Jones and Biobird.
"Its a real honour to have TRUTH coming back to Hamilton and we're proud to be part of it" says event organiser Kerry Freecell. "We've been building a great music community for the last couple of years
now and building up to nights like these where we have the capacity to host award winning artists and the best internationals."
Originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, Truth are now based Christchurch and in San Francisco. Andre Fernandez and Tristan Roake They have toured extensively including numerous USA tours, four tours of the UK and Europe and a tour of Latin America. They can be found regularly playing in the United States, Europe, Australia and back home in New Zealand. They have toured, remixed and collaborated with Datsik, Alix Perez, Shapeshifter, Mala, Excision, Skream, Youngsta,
Hatcha, Om Unit and N-Type, Taso (Teklife), Silkie, Kromestar, Flowdan.
Prior to winning their VMA Award they were Nominated "Best Producer" - 2013 Dubstepforum Awards, nominated "Best Remix" (Seven - "Walter White"), "Best Podcast" ("Truth Chronicles") - 2014 Dubstepforum Awards and nominated "Best Track" (Born Enemies) – 2013 Bass Music Awards. Touring with one of the biggest names in modern dance music, DATSIK, TRUTH famously earned them this statement from him “TRUTH is the best thing that’s happened to Dubstep in North America” – Datsik.
"Its a real coup for us to get TRUTH down here to play after their big award win and we've got people travelling to come see the show, so its pretty exciting for us." says Kerry. So its an exciting time for dance music, especially drum n bass and dubstep in Hamilton. And Kerry is one of the main people the community can thank for it. He runs NOIZE Radio as well as his day job as an electrician. Organising and promoting gigs as well as playing in them, you've got to wonder where he finds the time. "Everyone's gotta have a hobby, although this ones more like a second job. But when it's this much fun and the job comes with this much bass, you know you've found a good fit."
