TenForward Technology Lounge for Kids Provides Holiday Learning Inspiration
REMUERA, AUCKLAND - 11 January 2018 - TenForward is Remuera’s newest entertainment zone designed for children. It is a ‘technology lounge’ with after school and school holiday programmes, aimed at young adolescents who love gaming, technology, social media and other creative pursuits.
Open daily during the school holidays from 8:30am to 6pm, it is the dream holiday programme for today’s tech-focused children. Activities include cooperative video games on Xboxes and PCs - designed to encourage social development, effective communication, working together, and problem solving with other players in the same room; as well as maneuvering a hoverboard, flying mini quadcopters, Rubik’s speed cubing, outdoor Nerf battles and more.
Tutors are from a variety of technology backgrounds, including popular pop culture and gaming streamer, Attack On Geek.
At its core, TenForward strives to foster the curious minds of young Kiwis and provide the right education and tools to inspire and help shape the next generation of gamers, broadcasters and online content creators.
“Older children love to use the internet, tech devices, and the opportunity to combine these activities with their peers, and we have created a safe environment where they can learn better ways to explore and manage themselves in this exciting and challenging new world they’re living in,” said Belinda Hope, Director, TenForward Limited.
TenForward will also provide access to its facilities as a community event space for adult technology education, hobby meet-up groups, and gaming tournaments.
