A Triple NZ Celebration Poetry Reading
AUCKLAND, NZ – You are invited to join 11 New Zealand poets on Wednesday, 11 October, 6pm at St Heliers Library to celebrate esteemed US journal Atlanta Review's NZ launch.
Many well-known poets have appeared in Atlanta Review, including Nobel Laureates Seamus Heaney and Gunter Grass.
Edited by Ivy Alvarez, this Aotearoa/NZ edition is a first in the journal’s 23-year history.
As part of the celebrations, two new poetry collections will be unveiled.
Vaughan Rapatahana releases his latest collection, ternion, while Carin Smeaton makes her debut with Tales of the Waihorotiu.
Poets Laurice Gilbert, Jamie Trower, Piers Davies, Raewyn Alexander, Rata Gordon, Erena Johnson, Jiaqiao Rosalie Liu, Alexandra Fraser, and Murray Edmond will also read their work.
$5 entry fee includes refreshments. Bookings essential.
