Human Traces is an atmospheric Kiwi thriller shot on location against the rugged backdrop of the Canterbury and Otago
coasts. The film is Directed by Nic Gorman and stars Sophie Henderson, Mark Mitchinson, Vinnie Bennett and Sara Wiseman.
About the film: Husband and wife scientist team Glenn (40s), and Sarah (27) study the effects of removing the ‘pests’ from
Perseverance, a rocky island deep in the Southern Ocean. The arrival of ‘Pete’, the mysterious new caretaker for the
island, causes upheaval in their marriage, and when Sarah discovers she is pregnant, and that they’re trapped on the
island with no contact to the outside world, desperation kicks in with the pitiless winter coming ever closer.
NZ Rating: M Violence, offensive language & drug use.
HUMAN TRACES screens as part of the New Zealand International Film Festival (premiering August 4th in Christchurch) and
will return for a general release in NZ cinemas 2017.
