The Bedford School Of Music & Performing arts is proud to partner with Playhouse & Sarahann Doherty Duplooy in the latest offering for Waitaki & South Canterbury. TBSOM has been offering service in Music, Drama, Dance & Entertainment for 5 years. The school now offers weekly services in Oamaru & Waimate as well as holiday programs, workshops and events from Dunedin to Christchurch and out as far as Omarama. They
are also offering Music Technology this term that prepares students for many careers in the modern music industry. This
course includes Djing, Mcing, Sound Engineering, Karaoke Hosting, Recording, Live performance with technology & using Samples. TBSOM Music Tech will be run by recording/touring artist Jae Bedford and have regular special guest
workshop tutors. This program is vital to the ever changing music industry.
Junior Fundamental- 8-12 years of age 5.45-6.20pm Mondays Intermediate and Senior Fundamental- 13-18 years of age

INTRODUCTION TO OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBER: SARAHANN :)
Sarahann Doherty du Plooy The instructor/Trainer and program creator for TBSOM & PLAYHOUSE-Encore Drama Sarahann started her career as an actor when she was still a child. She started out with
commercials, the biggest of which was a Royco commercial when she was thirteen years old. She went on to present
programs on SABC as a childrens host and then also presented Mini TV after that. She studied acting at Stellenbosch,
then went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and then choose to further her studies at UCLA in Los
Angeles. Here she acted in a few short independent films and Lifetime Television shows. She also produced and starred in
various plays both in NY and LA. After returning to South Africa, Sarahann started into Children’s theatre at the
Peoples Theatre and then transitioned to Musical Theatre. She acted in the Sound of Music at the State Theatre with Deon
Opperman and then a few commercials followed. SarahAnne then landed herself with a presenting job, “X” on MK89. She
played Dr. Terry in Isidingo and after that Roelien in the Mnet soap Binnelanders. She also has had roles in various
other South African television programs. SarahAnn now owns and is actively busy teaching at the Playhouse which has been
her passion since she completed her studies.
