Harrington’s top 3 finalist for AIBA 2016 Champion Small International Brewery.
Buoyed by the success of some new range additions and the revised recipes of a few range favourites has resulted in a
great result for Harrington’s Breweries finishing as a top 3 finalist in the Champion Small International Brewery
category. "It’s not an out right win but the New Zealand craft breweries are heading in the right direction with our
goals firmly set on joining Americas big boys on top of the craft beer plinth.” says Carl Harrington.
A new specialty beer brewed for GABS called the 'Galactic Empire Imperial Pilsner' won gold and was a trophy finalist.
It’s a prime example of this 25 year “old” family brewery still showing it is as leading edge as the fresh young craft
brewery brothers. The 3 working generations of Harrington’s put credit for the medal results to an the entire team who
all share the family's drive for innovation and quality.
Galactic Empire Sauvin Strong Pilsner - Gold
Sobering Thought - Silver
Pig and Whistle - Silver
East Indies - Bronze
