WEDNESDAY 17 FEBRUARY 2016 – Washington alt-rockers Death Cab for Cutiereturn to New Zealand this week to play Wellington’s Opera House on Saturday 20 Februaryand Auckland’s St James on Tuesday 23 February.
Exciting Wellington act Mermaidens will be the opening act for the Wellington date andLontalius will play support for the Auckland show.
Death Cab For Cutie’s eighth studio album KINTSUGI was released in March 2015, reaching #1 on Billboard’s top rock albums chart and garnering a Grammy nomination. The band has been touring to support the release ever since, with headline dates across the US and Europe and festival appearances including Glastonbury and Splendour in the Grass.
