Rob Nicol joins Mondiale Aces
squad for Ford Trophy Qualifying Final
The Mondiale Auckland Aces have made one addition to their squad to face the Otago Volts at Queen's Park in Saturday's Ford Trophy Qualifying Final.
Rob Nicol is back in the squad mix after being sidelined with a knee injury since the end of the Georgie Pie Super Smash. If Parnell's Ben Horne is selected in the match day XI it will be his first game in any format for the Mondiale Aces. Auckland come into the game after suffering a tough loss to the Central Stags at home.
Mondiale Aces coach Mark O'Donnell says his side are excited by the challenge the Otago Volts pose.
“We have had some tough games against the Volts this year and we seem to have brought out the best in each other so far. We know we will have to be clinical to get on top of the encounter.”
"The team are also excited by the prospect of a good crowd at Queen's Park. A big crowd would certainly add to the finals atmosphere."
