Mondiale Auckland Aces make two changes to face the Wellington Firebirds
The Mondiale Auckland Aces have made two changes to their side to take on the Wellington Firebirds at Eden Park Outer Oval on Wednesday the 6th of January.
Auckland come into the match after losing their first Ford Trophy home game against the Northern Knights. The loss came after the side opened the competition with two victories.
Michael Bates returns from injury and will lead the side with Colin Munro on international duty with the BLACKCAPS and Rob Nicol still recovering from injury. Michael Guptill-Bunce also comes into the squad with Glenn Phillips joining the New Zealand U19 team.
Mondiale Aces coach Mark O'Donnell believes his side will be eager to improve following the Northern Knights loss.
“We were below our best against the Knights and we have reviewed the game and know where we need to improve. It was certainly not how we want to be playing and in particular in front of our home crowd.”
"Wellington are a side with a lot of experience so we can't afford to be off the pace two games in a row in this competition."

Brad Cachopa (Takapuna)
