The Mondiale Auckland Aces have
included batsmen Jeet Raval and Carl Cachopa in their 13 to
take on the Central Stags in the Ford Trophy
tomorrow.
With the departure of Martin Guptill to the Blackcaps the Mondiale Aces have otherwise retained the same side that went down to Canterbury in the last round.
After three bonus point wins to start the competition that loss has brought them back to the pack, and means they hold just a two point lead over their opposition tomorrow in second place.
Coach Matt Horne is looking for more from his team in all departments after their performance in Timaru.
“We were outplayed in most facets of the game down there and the result reflected that. But it’s just one game and we know that we’ve got the talent to turn that performance around and get a win tomorrow.”
A team for the game that starts at 11am tomorrow, 8 January at Fitzherbert Park in Palmerston North, will be named from the following 13 players:
Rob Nicol (Captain)
(Cornwall)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New Lynn)
Brad
