Andras Fox is a modern musical auteur. An artist whose unique production style fuses Melbourne’s acclaimed deep house sound with quirky boogie and synthpop touches. Whether he’s crafting limited cassette and vinyl only releases which sell out instantly, or piecing together another rare edit for his DJ sets, Andras Fox’s appeal is continually being enhanced via a loyal cult following desperate to spread their chosen gospel.
Alongside fellow Oz pioneers Andy Hart, Inkswell and Hunee, he kicked off honing his talents in the hotbed of Melbourne’s club and radio scene, building a reputation for classy DJ selections and phenomenal live sets and after attending the Red Bull Music Academy decided to focus more on developing his own sound. With the results getting better with each new release, Andras Fox has been hotly tipped by tastemakers to make some serious waves. With a brand new single just released, and debut album on the way, it’s all happening right now for the talented musician, so make sure you catch his NZ debut in Wellington on Friday 5th September.
We’ve also managed to secure a rare live performance from Eyeliner (Crystal Magic Records), who offers a synthetic vision of r in the near future, making him perfect for the support slot. Radio Active’s Friday Night Flava crew, plus Gus and B.Lo, will be DJing the other bits.
On the night, Andras' set will have a visual accompaniment performed live by Bailey and Jon Drypnz, two members of the reclusive I We’re Them Project (IWT). The visuals have been designed by Jon Drypnz, as a visual response to audio stimulation using light, layer and hand. These analog projections are a project developing within itself and aptly named for this show as #1. L. Projection. It is with pleasure that we here at Ex.D are the first to have this 'light manipulation projection' support one of our favorite Australian acts.
