Mondiale have been announced as the naming rights sponsor of the Auckland Aces – making them the Mondiale Auckland Aces.

Mondiale have been a valued sponsor of Auckland Cricket for the last three years and the expansion of that sponsorship to include the Aces was a logical step forward to extend their support of cricket in Auckland said Mondiale director Phil Bramwell.

“We have been enthusiastic partners with Auckland Cricket over the last few years and followed the Aces fortunes with as much interest as their fans, so this is a tangible way that we can show our support for the team in all competitions.”

He also remarked that Mondiale are looking forward to what the relationship might bring.

“The Aces are a successful side, as recent title wins in the HRV Twenty20 and Ford Trophy show, and we’re confident that they will continue that success in the seasons to come. Mondiale are delighted to be associated with the Aces as they try to build on that winning record.”

The news has been welcomed by Aces players, with batsmen Jeet Raval and Craig Cachopa expressing their pleasure at the announcement.

“We think that we’ve built a really good culture in the Aces and put together some great performances in recent seasons, so to have Mondiale want to put their faith in us by being naming rights sponsor is fantastic news,” Raval commented.

Cachopa was also pleased that the Aces had Mondiale on board.

“I know that Mondiale have been a big supporter of Auckland Cricket and it’s great that they’re now putting their name to the Aces as well. We’ve got a lot of talent in our squad and we’re looking forward to a successful season ahead playing as the Mondiale Auckland Aces.”

Auckland Cricket CEO Mark Cameron highlighted what the deal meant to both the Association and the Aces.

Mondiale are a hugely successful company and a great supporter of Auckland Cricket so to have them become the naming rights sponsors for the Aces is fantastic.”

The team will be known as the Mondiale Auckland Aces in all competitions for the next three seasons.
