EasiYo Tactix Granted Permission for Second Import Player for 2015
TTNL, operators of Netball’s ANZ Championship, have granted Christchurch-based EasiYo Tactix permission to contract a
second import player for the 2015 season.
TTNL General Manager Andy Crook says it is important to continue to support the EasiYo Tactix as they continue rebuild,
however TTNL will be closely monitoring their progress.
“We acknowledge that recruiting top players to Christchurch has been a challenge in previous seasons and we will be
reviewing this decision on an annual basis,” Crook said.
“However we feel it’s in the best interests of the league to ensure EasiYo Tactix are able to build a squad capable of
challenging the other nine teams in what is the world’s most exciting Netball league.”
The Mainland team has already signed fan favourite Malawian international Mwai Kumwenda to the playing roster next year
after a successful debut season in 2014. Kumwenda was named Best New Talent in her inaugural ANZ Championship season.
The other imported player last season was England captain, mid-courter Jade Clarke.
