First of its kind in NZ anti-café style space opens on Cuba Street
In Good Company, a new anti-cafe style public co-working venture, opens its doors on Wellington's vibrant Cuba Street.
Here, customers can have as much coffee, tea and Wi Fi as they like, find collaborators, hold meetings, run workshops,
use the space for work or to chill out and only pay for time spent in the space.
Drawing on similar themes in other anti-cafes and co-working spaces, time can be rented- clients pay for the time they use in the space, making it an ideal solution
for the freelancer, traveler, contractor or business entrepreneur who need to complete projects on the go in a
productive environment.
Creative and logical minds have the room to mingle and collaborate- permanent spaces are available for independent professionals. Inter-disciplinary environment creates a perfect space
for innovation.
Quirky and dynamic in its approach, guests can opt to display either ‘focused’ or ‘open to collaboration’ messages on their selected area, opening up
communication with other members.
In Good Company is the brainchild of local freelancer Maria Kupriyenko. As a creative individual needing space and the
right environment in which to organise and quantify talents, and following extensive travels around Europe, where she
witnessed first-hand the dynamic nature of start-up cafes, the need to create a nurturing habitat in which start-ups
could flourish in Wellington became apparent.
