World Cup NZ 2015 Tickets on Public Sale Today
To coincide with football fans everywhere celebrating the kick-off for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, tickets go on public sale today for next year’s world football event in New Zealand.
Venue packs* for the FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015 are on the market and entitle fans to much more than just a chance to be part of the biggest celebration of world football ever seen in New Zealand. Those who purchase early also get a host of added benefits:
• 20% off match day ticket prices (if purchasing 1-7 venue packs)
• 25% off if you purchase 8 or more venue packs
• 5% cash back to any New Zealand Football registered club you nominate
• First access to purchase Quarter and Semi-finals tickets
• Optional entry into the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2015 Final ballot.
*Venue packs are for all group matches and The Round of 16 at a single venue.
As the whistle blew in Brazil this morning and tickets went on sale here in New Zealand for our global football event in 2015, Wellington’s Shed 6 hosted a Football Fiesta and was a hive of colour and activity with the Brazilian ambassador and his staff joining members of the local Croatian community and hundreds of football enthusiasts for a special free breakfast event to enjoy the opening match in Brazil.
“The spectacular event that will be the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will give Kiwis a taste of what’s coming to our shores in less than a year. As a nation I believe we appreciate world class talent, and that is what’s coming here in 2015 – this will be the best football we have ever seen - it’s going to be huge,” said Dave Beeche CEO, FIFA U-20 World Cup New Zealand 2015.
Commenting on ticket sales for the tournament, Beeche added: “Launching public ticket sales is a landmark moment for us. We opened up sales exclusively to the football fraternity late in April and have been very pleased with the response to date. Thousands of tickets have already sold in this period and we have been incentivising football clubs across the country through a unique club rebate scheme. Clubs are really getting behind this opportunity realising the fundraising benefits, for example a small club from Waiheke Island in Auckland has already purchased in excess of 90 venue packs. This is a phenomenal fundraising opportunity for football clubs across the country and we expect that more will seize the chance to take advantage of this over the coming weeks of the World Cup.”
