Jane has 14 days left to raise $5k....she REALLY needs your support NOW
Martinborough/Wellington artist Jane Kellahan is one of 120 artists selected worldwide to exhibit at the London Art Biennale on 20 – 25 January 2015 in London.
This high profiled event will be held as an award exhibition. As Jane’s work ‘The Water that Fell’, received third place in the Leonardo Prize at the Biennale of Chianciano, Italy in 2011, Jane believes she has a good chance of doing well.
Peter Gagliardi, the Curator of the Biennale of Chianciano said her prize piece was “An excellent and breathtaking painting. The composition soft whilst the light captured is strong and powerful. This painting is definitely as Museum piece. A stimulating work that provokes contemplation”.
The challenge for Jane is that to represent New Zealand she must urgently raise $5,000 for entry fee and freight.
Via the NZ Arts Foundation website,http://www.boosted.org.nz/projects/london-biennale-2015 she has 14 days left to raise NZ$5k. The problem is, if Jane is unable to raise the full amount, she will not receive any of the donations.
Please watch her 'refreshingly entertaining' video by clicking on the above 'London Biennale Boosted' link. Jane really needs art lovers and kiwis to all pull together and help if we are going to have a New Zealand presence at this show. To find out more about Jane please go to www.janekellahan.co.nz.
