Horowhenua’s Got Talent is set to stage later this month and entries for the competition are now open.
To be held on Saturday 24 May at Te Takere in Levin, the talent quest is open to 12 to 24-year-olds and categories include music or dance for either individuals or groups.
This will be the fifth year the annual event has been held and is being organised by Horowhenua District Council's youth council 'Youth Voice' and the Contact Youth Space at Te Takere.
For contestants there are various prizes to be won, including the top prize of a full day's recording studio time at Te Takere’s Fusion FM.
Entry forms are available on Horowhenua District Council’s website, www.horowhenua.govt.nz and at all district libraries, as well as from the school offices at Waiopehu College and Horowhenua College.
Entries close at 5pm on Wednesday 21 May.
On the Saturday evening the talent quest will start at 6.30pm and will include appearances from special guest judges and performers. It is open to the public, with entry at the door for $5 per person or $2 for children up to 12-years-old.
