Winter F.A.W.C! tickets selling out
Tickets to Winter F.A.W.C!, Food and Wine Classic, Hawke’s Bay are proving to be in hot demand with 27% of tickets sold in the first week. This equates to ten of the 48 events sold out so far.
Subscribers to the F.A.W.C! database (FAWCers) were given 24 hour pre-sale access 12 noon Tuesday 22nd for 24 hours, before tickets went on general sale from 12 noon Wednesday 23rd.
The first event to sell out was “The Cellar Sessions” at Elephant Hill Winery, a wine and dinner match set in the private underground cellar of Elephant Hill.
Elephant Hill Marketing Manager Vince Labat said “We expected a keen level of interest in our event but to be the first event to sell out is fantastic. We are really looking forward to showcasing Elephant Hill premium wines alongside our Head Chef Ashley Jones’s menu to create a wonderful food and wine experience which is really what F.A.W.C! is all about.”
Deliciosa Tapas and Wine also set an impressive benchmark with six of their seven Winter F.A.W.C! events selling out during the pre-sale period. Sarah Watson, Owner of Deliciosa said “she was thrilled to receive such overwhelming support for her F.A.W.C! events”
A very clear favourite was the “Sunday Lunch Club with Simon Gault”. Held at Mana Lodge, the home of Lady Deborah and the late Sir Paul Holmes, guests will enjoy an afternoon with Simon, New Zealand’s charismatic Masterchef judge, feasting on a menu showcasing contemporary and farmhouse flavours from Orton Catering.
Annie Dundas, General Manager from Hawke’s Bay Tourism said they were delighted with the response from ticket sales to date. “There are so many great events on offer for Winter F.A.W.C! and we really encourage people to book early so they don’t miss out on what will be another fabulous celebration of Hawke’s Bay food and wine this winter.”
