Germein Sisters (Adelaide) tour New Zealand in May on back of international songwriting success.
Adelaide’s finest, The Germein Sisters (Georgia, Ella and Clara), will be touring New Zealand from May 1 - 17 on the
back of international songwriting accolades and national success at Tamworth Music Festival.
Last month (subs March 2014) Georgia Germein’s song ‘How Can I Close My Eyes” was placed in the top three of the prestigious John Lennon
International Songwriting Competition. Judges in the competition include songwriters and performers such as Tom Waits,
Imagine Dragons and Keane.
The Germein Sisters’ live performances have also been earning them praise from audiences and their industry peers. In
January 2014 they were awarded best band out of 600 bands in the busking competition at the Tamworth Music Festival.
They have also recently toured in Europe and recorded with the producer and members of global sensation “The Corrs”.
Joining them on the tour is New Zealand singer/songwriter Bryce Wastney. Bryce was recently selected as a support act
for Guy Sebastian on Sebastian’s 2014 New Zealand tour. Bryce’s single “Dead Man Walking” reached number two on the NZ
iTunes Country chart last year. Bryce will be launching his second album while on tour with the Germein Sisters and is
achieving extensive international radio play following his signing to US record label Musik and Film.
The Germein Sisters are Georgia (writer, guitarist and lead singer, Ella (electric cello, bass and backing vocals) and
Clara (drums and backing vocals).
Earlier this month (subs April 2014) the Germein Sisters & Bryce Wastney completed a successful seven-date Australian East Coast tour where they opened for three-time Grammy
Award winners Jars Of Clay (USA) and then performed at Easterfest Music Festival (QLD). The Germeins are booked for a
tour in Europe in September.
