Hang out at Hawkins
Come join the cast of ‘The Pa Boys’ for a special Q session at Hawkins Theatre, Papakura.
‘The Pa Boys’ is the latest film from the producer of ‘Boy, Mina Mathieson,’ and follows Danny, Cityboy and Tau – a three-piece Wellington reggae band ‘The Pa Boys’, who set off on a tour of small town New Zealand with the aim of reaching Cape Reinga at the top of the North Island..
The story explores the strength of friendship, and the importance of whānau (family), whakapapa (genealogy), and identity.
Lead actors Francis Kora (of Kiwi band ‘Kora’) and Matariki Whatarau, along with Mina Mathieson will be available to meet after the final screening of the movie at Hawkins Theatre on 31 March.
Hawkins Theatre runs Q& A sessions where possible whenever a Kiwi film is shown. These are a great opportunity for film-goers to have a conversation with some of New Zealand’s finest up and coming actors and film-makers, and to learn behind the scenes details from critically acclaimed New Zealand films.
