Auckland Motorcycle Club: Coming down to the wire
Round Five of the Auckland Motorcycle Club Series is on this coming Sunday, and all eyes are on the weather forecast
with reports of a tropical low moving south, carrying with it the possibility of a wet and windy day in store. It’s a
potential further challenge facing competitors in the penultimate Round of the very popular Auckland Club Series.
A number of class points stand delicately poised, and with just the final Round to follow on April 6th, any mistake
could have dire consequences for those aspiring to a Series title.
Jaden Hassan stormed back into contention in Formula Auckland at Round Four; whilst in F2 Toby Summers will have
conflicting priorities. Currently leading the F2 National Championship - which resumes just a week later at Taupo -
Daniel Mettam will have all his attention on Sunday, as he looks to claw back the 24 point deficit in F2 in the Club
Series.
Similarly affected; Doug Stockwell and Gavin Veltmeyer – competing nationally in ProTwin 650 and Superlite respectively.
The Hyosung Cup continues its wheel-to-wheel action, and the full complement of supporting classes will fill out a busy
day of motorcycle road-racing.

Round Five of the Club Series is again at Hampton Downs, with practice starting at 8:30, and racing commencing at 11:00.
Spectators: Adult $12, AMCC Member $10 (with membership card), Family Pass $25 (2 adults & 2 children), additional child $5 each, under 12 free if accompanied.
On-site catering will be present.
