Spinner Bruce Martin and all-rounder Donovan Grobbelaar will join the Aces for their last Plunket Shield game of the
season starting tomorrow on Eden Park Outer Oval.
The Aces will be playing for position after the competition was decided in dramatic fashion in the last round to make
Canterbury champions.
That round saw the Aces not quite able to land the killer blow against the Volts after a great start to their final day
push for an outright.
Taking that effort one step further and ensuring the season ends on a high note should provide plenty of motivation for
his side according to Aces coach Matt Horne.
"We put together a great performance down south but didn't get the result we were after. I think the boys are really
keen to make sure that we continue with the way we've been playing and get a win in this last game to get some reward
for the good cricket we have been playing."
The match starts tomorrow (Sunday 23) at 10.30am.
A team will be named from the following twelve players:
Gareth Hopkins (Captain) (Parnell)
Dean Bartlett (Ellerslie)
Craig Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
Donovan Grobbelaar (Howick Pakuranga)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere City)
Bruce Martin (Parnell)
Tim McIntosh (Parnell)
Colin Munro (Howick Pakuranga)
