The Auckland Aces have made just one change for their ninth round Plunket Shield clash with the Otago Volts starting Sunday.
Bruce Martin is out with injury with Tim McIntosh replacing him in the side.
The Aces will be keen to get a result from this game after their close loss to the Wizards last week. Persistence has been one of the key messages to the Aces Plunket Shield campaign, a win against the second place Volts would be good reward for their efforts.
Without their BLACKCAP bowlers the Auckand Aces will look to their young guns to lead the attack. "It's an exciting young attack with the guys learning and developing every opportunity they get." says Aces Bowling Coach Andre Adams. Martin's exclusion gives Bhupinder Singh an opportunity to state his claim as the number one spinner going into the Ford Trophy Competition.
A team will be named from the following twelve players:
Gareth Hopkins (Captain) (Parnell)
Dean Bartlett (Ellerslie)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New Lynn)
Craig Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
Martin Guptill (Suburbs New Lynn)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere City)
Tim McIntosh (Parnell)
Colin Munro (Howick Pakuranga)
Matt Quinn (Cornwall)
Jeet Raval (Suburbs New Lynn)
Bhupinder Singh (Papatoetoe)
