Send the kids back to school and save the planet

Turn over a new leaf this school year while teaching your children how to help the planet - send them to school with eco food packaging and reusable snack bags thanks to two new brands from The Sleep Store.
“Our kids deserve to head back to school with a nutritious lunch in their school bags,” says The Sleep Store owner Louise Tanguay. “Our planet deserves them to have that lunch covered in eco-packaging. That’s why we’re so pleased to have two new brands – Kids Konserve and Bumkins - available to give parents an eco, yet stylish, lunch option just in time for the start of term."
Kids Konserve
Kids Konserve was set up by two mums who believed waste-free and reusable lunch-packaging and food storage solutions were a critical need in their communities.
They calculated the amount of lunch trash at their own schools and were shocked at what they found. The company was borne of this need.
“Some schools set the example for the rest of us with their recycling initiatives, worm farms or total no-rubbish policy on kids lunches,” says Tanguay. “The least we can do is support them with eco-packaging. I love the Kids Konserve range, which shows just how far eco-friendly products have come in the design stakes."
The range includes a reusable ice pack to keep lunches fresh, insulated food jars, food kozys for sandwiches and snacks, as well as stainless steel food containers and drink bottles. Kids Konserve products are waste-free, allergy-free and toxin-free.
Bumkins
“The best baby products come from parents designing them for their own children and mum, Jakki Libberman, started Bumkins in 1989 - as a means to find solutions for her own young family’s needs,” says Tanguay. “That’s why all their products are so kid-friendly and innovative. We’re thrilled to have secured Bumkins for The Sleep Store."
The Bumkins range includes waterproof bibs, reusable snack bags, wet bags for togs or nappies and pacifier clips. The designs are kid-friendly and bright, including Dr Seuss licensed designs.
