A grand French country style home, a lakeside cottage and a clever architectural farmhouse are just three of the homes
featuring in the acclaimed NZ House & Garden Tours 2014.
This is the sixth year of these popular tours which gives people the rare opportunity to visit some of the country’s
most spectacular and unique homes.
Homes in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch will be opening their doors to the public for this year’s tours, and all
to benefit two very special charities – the Cancer Society of New Zealand, which works to reduce the incidence and
impact of cancer for all people affected as the result of a cancer diagnosis and Look Good Feel Better, which delivers
workshops to build the confidence and wellbeing of women as they undergo treatment.
For the first time, NZ House & Garden Tours is visiting the beautiful rural location of Clevedon/ Alfriston in Auckland. Nine stunning country homes feature on
this tour and it promises to be a delightful day out in the countryside.
Christchurch tour visitors will also get to enjoy a day in the countryside and have the chance to step inside some very
special rural homes located in the Amberley region and surrounding areas. This tour route passes several wineries and
excellent cafes making for a fun day out.
All proceeds received are allocated to the six regional divisions of The Cancer Society of New Zealand and the regional
branches of Look Good Feel Better, according to where the ticket purchasers live. This allows everyone who supports the
event to help people affected by cancer in their own community.
Tickets are available now for $65 each and are strictly limited. Last year’s event was a sell-out, so get in quick. To
