The International Buskers Festival in Auckland's Heart of the City is just over a week away!
International award winning Street Performers will knock your socks off with their jaw dropping, death defying stunts
and ridiculous comedy this Auckland Anniversary Weekend!
The Festival features 11 International Performers:
Funny Bones (Japan), with their rare and unusual giant puppets
Diogo Alvares (Brazil/Germany), a Brazilian master manipulator and illusionist
Mr.Animation (USA), a master of the robot dance who has performed on the Jay Leno Show and America’s Got Talent
Aerial Manx (Australia), who was requested to perform a private show for Usher and tour cast
New Zealand’s own Sport Susie who channels Flash Dance and Olympic weightlifters in her hilarious show
Cal Harris (Australia), setting his feet on fire while balancing upside down on one arm
El Jaguar (Mexico/New Zealand), a high energy highly interactive highly addictive show unlike any other
Nanirossi (Italy), a delightful and eccentric Italian duo, skilled in hand to hand balancing and juggling
Scooby Circus (Australia), a fast paced high energy comedy circus show which blends world class talent and hilarious audience
participation
The Festival is comprised of five sites spread throughout Auckland’s Heart of the City. Sites include Viaduct Harbour
sites, Vulcan Lane, Downtown Shopping Centre, Princes Wharf, and our new Wynyard Quarter site.
The night shows at Market Square, Viaduct Harbour have been part of the Festival since 2003 and are a great way to
socialise with friends whilst enjoying good outdoor dining in a fun and comical environment.
For the first time, Festival goers can download a free Festival App for performance and location information, to view
performer bios and sponsors profiles. They will also receive real time alerts and news and be able to send messages into
the live event feed.
It is available for iPhone, Android and mobile web. To download the app, click on the link on the home page of the
website www.aucklandbuskersfestival.co.nz (using your smart phone) or go to your app store and search for “ShowGizmo” or use the Mobile web app by going to showgizmo.mobi. Enter the code aucklandbuskers to gain access to the event.
Festival goers can also vote via the App for their favourite performer with The People’s Choice Award or on the Festival
