The Auckland Aces will have Blackcap Kyle Mills back for their make or break HRV Twenty20 clash with the Knights in Hamilton today.
The Aces have lost Colin Munro to the Blackcaps but get Mills back which will add considerably to their experience in the bowling department.
Their loss to the Knights on Wednesday means that the Aces need to win both their remaining games to have the best chance of being involved in the playoff games in Hamilton next weekend.
The competition is incredibly tight with five teams still competing for the three spots available and some teams having two games to play but others only one.
The Aces have been very focused on keeping their eyes only on the next game in the HRV Twenty20 this season and that's what coach Matt Horne is trying to maintain for today's game, although he does admit that will be a challenge.
"There's no point looking ahead to anything beyond the game with the Knights today and we need to focus on doing the job today to get the win. Having said that, it's natural for people to look ahead so that's one of the things we need to keep workikng on with all the guys - keep the focus on doing your job and make sure we bag the points."
Horne is confident that the Aces can turn round the disappointing result in Auckland just a couple of days ago.
"Twenty20 is a game with tight margins, you get a couple of them wrong and it can go west in a hurry. I don't think there was anything in Wednesday's performance that's not easily fixable and the guys are really buzzing to get out and make amends today."
A team will be named from the following twelve players:
Gareth Hopkins (Captain) (Parnell)
Michael Bates (Suburbs New Lynn)
Craig Cachopa (Takapuna)
Colin de Grandhomme (Howick Pakuranga)
James Fuller (Overseas professional)
Donovan Grobbelaar (Howick Pakuranga)
Anaru Kitchen (Waitakere City)
Bruce Martin (Parnell)
Kyle Mills (Howick Pakuranga)
Chris Nash (Overseas professional)
Jeet Raval (Suburbs New Lynn)
Jono Sole (Takapuna)
