Inaugural “The Great Out West Brew Fest”
West Auckland has long being suffering without much in the way of selection of its liquor choices - particularly when it comes to craft beer. blanc on Lincoln Road is a new retail liquor shop with a little more than your average bottle store, and is focused fine wines and wines to save you a dime, unique spirits and of course Craft Beer. Having just celebrated their first birthday, they are now super excited to unveil The Great Out West Brew Fest.
A festival for serious beer lovers, those looking to find out a bit more about it, or those who just want to have a good time, it promises to be a great day out. Featuring 14 craft breweries from around the country and a few from overseas (including the likes of Epic, Tuatara,, Liberty, 8 Wired and Deep Creek to name a few), there will be something to suit everyone. It will be a great chance to meet the people behind the brew’s, taste their wares while relaxing with some tunes, and ask them their secrets - so you can create your own perfect home brew! Speaking of which, a home brew competition has been organised so that local brewers can submit their own beers to be judged by some of the brewers attending on the day. Some great prizes and of course bragging rights to their mates will be claimed by the winner. Just to make sure the ladies feel included, there will be a range of wines as well.
Running all afternoon from 1pm to 7pm, there will be two bands Range Duo & International Delta Blues Experience providing entertainment, with a range of food on offer to complement the great brews.
Limited early bird tickets are available, either from blanc or on the website http://www.blanc.kiwi.nz/BrewFest.html
