Help celebrate infantry anniversary
Come and help celebrate the 150th anniversary of 5/7 Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment (5/7 RNZIR) this Saturday, 10 August.
The regiment – comprised of 7th Wellington (City of Wellington’s Own) and Hawke’s Bay Battalion Group Charter – will parade down Lambton Quay, finishing at Civic Square where Wellington Mayor Celia Wade-Brown will review it.
There is a rolling road closure in place for the event.
The parade will start in Lambton Quay outside the Law School at 12.20pm and make its way along Lambton Quay to Willis Street, onto Mercer Street and across Victoria Street to Civic Square, arriving at around 12.50pm.
There will be short-term closures of the lateral streets approaching the parade route.
