The Rock n Roll Circus Burlesque Show Celebrates Its One Year Birthday!
Newton, Auckland – 28 June 2013, Auckland doesn’t have many regular burlesque nights but there is one show that is celebrating its first year of success next month.
The Rock n Roll Circus is the brain child of producer and performer Sharyn Syme and has staked its claim to be one of Auckland’s leading burlesque events over the past year.  With aims to raise the bar even higher for future shows, The Rock n Roll Circus series is gathering more momentum and has a large and ever growing following within the New Zealand burlesque scene.
In celebration of its first birthday, The Rock n Roll Circus is dishing out a lively show full of tease and cheek – Cabaret Americana on 28 June at The Winchester.  This show promises to take the audience on a journey through American pop culture with glimpses of famous icons, tributes to hit movies and musicals and a touch of circus art.
The audience is encouraged to dress up in theme and even take to the stage for fun competitions where the barrier between performer and audience is demolished.
With acts by Auckland’s only female Elvis impersonator Miss Elvis, Duchess of Auckland Hootchy Kootchy Girls burlesque Misty La Moore and her troupe and Miss Burlesque New Zealand sponsors choice 2013 award winner Amourous Ava, this show is going to go off with a hiss and a roar!
Tickets are available through www.eventfinder.co.nz.
