Samsung is offering an all-access behind the scenes series pass
AUCKLAND, New Zealand – 18th April, 2013 – Samsung New Zealand is the proud technology partner of the début New Zealand series of The X Factor. To celebrate the partnership and the launch of the show, Samsung is offering one fan an exclusive opportunity to become an insider on The X Factor New Zealand.
The “Samsung Insider” gets an all-access backstage pass to witness the behind-the-scenes action on the set of the hit TV3 reality show. The Samsung Insider will host online video blogs from behind the scenes, showcasing all the action as it unfolds. All will be captured on latest Samsung products (Galaxy Camera, Galaxy Note II & Galaxy Note 10.1) which will also be used by contestants and judges throughout the show.
Mike Cornwell, Marketing Director at Samsung New Zealand, says the company is thrilled to be a part of The X Factor and the search for the best talent in New Zealand.
“Samsung continually strives to be the best in what we do, so we’re really excited to be a part of the search to find the best New Zealand musical talent,” says Mike. “It is the biggest reality show on the planet and we are fully integrated into the show with the Samsung Insider that gives us engaging stories that you would not normally see.
“The Samsung Insider initiative is a great platform to involve one lucky fan in the search. Plus, we know this is an experience a lot of viewers will want to share, so we’re arming our Insider with the latest Samsung technology and devices so he or she can capture and reveal the action backstage.
“Viewers will also see how contestants and judges are using Samsung devices to help get them through the audition process and live performances.”
Fans can apply to become the Samsung Insider using an exclusive application (available on Google Play and the Samsung Apps store). Insider hopefuls can upload a 45 second video to the app, directly from their Android mobile or tablet detailing why they want to get behind the scenes at The X Factor. Applications can also be made via the Samsung Facebook page, with more details available at tv3.co.nz.
The top five Insider finalists then meet in Auckland in May where a winner will be selected after a live studio screening audition at TV3 with The X Factor producers and show host Dominic Bowden .
The first episode of The X Factor NZ will premiere on Sunday 21st April (7pm) with the second episode screening Monday 22nd April (7:30pm) on TV3.
