ANZAC Test to Screen on Sky Sport
Auckland, New Zealand, 12 April, 2013 – Good news for rugby league fans around the country with SKY Sport announcing it will screen the first international Rugby League Test of 2013 when the Kiwis meet the Kangaroos in Canberra next Friday.
“We are delighted to have reached an agreement with New Zealand Rugby League to broadcast this important first Test for the Kiwis under the new captain Simon Mannering,” said Richard Last, SKY’s Director of Sport.
NZRL CEO Phil Holden agrees, saying “it’s fantastic for the game and our fans to have the Test screening live in New Zealand. This match is an important first step towards our World Cup defence and we know there will be a lot of interest in seeing how the Kiwis perform. We value our partnership with SKY and are pleased to have been able to reach an agreement with them around this game.”
The agreement will see LIVE coverage of the match from 9.30pm on SKY Sport 2, with a full free-to-air replay on Prime Television later that night.
