Old Mout Cider Proudly Supports Local Netball
Nelson-based cidermakers, Old Mout Cider, have put their money where their cider goes and are proudly supporting The Mainland Easiyo Tactix in this year’s ANZ Championships.
The season kicks off at 7.20pm on Sunday 24th March with a match against Waikato Bay Of Plenty Magic at Nelson’s Trafalgar Centre.
Old Mout Cider has been making the good stuff since 1947 in Nelson’s Redwood Valley, and is staunchly local and supportive of the region.
“Our fruit is sourced locally, we crush it locally and we turn it into cider right here on-site at the edge of the Moutere hills”, commented Justin Hall, Managing Director and Chief Cider Lover of Redwood Cider Co, producers of Old Mout Cider. “Netball in New Zealand has rapidly gained in popularity over the last few years, and so has the consumers’ preference for cider – so we saw this as a great fit for our brand”, adds Mr Hall.
The Old Mout Cider logo will proudly sit on the uniforms of a number of players and avid fans will be able to enjoy a nice cold Old Mout whilst they support their favourite team.
Old Mout Cider has been the pride of the Nelson region in recent weeks. Its Passionfruit & Cider picked up a gold medal at this year’s prestigious International Brewing Awards held in the UK. And to make their success even sweeter, they were the only cider produced outside of the UK (‘The Home of Cider’) to win gold.
