The Beautiful Strange World of Crispin Hellion Glover
Filmmaker, author and performer, Crispin Hellion Glover brings his unique live show and feature film to Skycity Theatre in Auckland on March 19th and the Dunedin Fringe Festival March 16, 17.
An outsider inside Hollywood, he is one of the most beguiling and intense actors of his generation, Crispin Glover has delivered seminal performances in Back To The Future, River's Edge, The Beaver Trilogy, Wild At Heart, The Doors, Beowulf, Charlie's Angels as well as destroying the formulaic structure of late night talk shows with his legendary appearances on David Letterman.
Glover's very intimate show includes a slide-show with dramatic narration from eight different profusely illustrated books as well as a special presentation of his feature film; EVERYTHING IS FINE which tells the psycho-sexual fantasies of a man with severe cerebral palsy. A fusion of horror and exploitation, this surreal and often funny tale is told from the cerebral palsy star/writer's point of view. This provocative film is then followed by an in-depth Q, with a book signing opportunity for everyone who attends.
While here Mr. Glover said he was interested in seeing, "native flora, fauna botanical gardens, animal reserves, classical art museums and any architectural integrity of New Zealand!"
